Specialising in printmaking, Billy's artistry is characterised by her keen eye for detail, innovative techniques and a profound connection to nature and the human experience. Her work resonates with audiences nationally and internationally, inviting them to explore the textures, patterns, and stories embedded in each piece.

Billy's website, www.belindanye.com serves as a window into her creative world. It showcases her extensive portfolio, ranging from bold and dynamic prints to more subtle, introspective pieces.

Her passion for the craft is evident in every design, reflecting her deep understanding of the printmaking medium and her desire to push its boundaries.

Through her work and her community involvement, Billy has proven herself to be not just an artist, but a leader in trends, continuously inspiring others to find their individuality and voice through art.

Billy Nye thanks her Peninsula upbringing for the aesthetic that now dominates her work.
She goes on to say,
"My work is inspired by the simplicity of the suburban streetscape; the paradise of domesticity.

I see beauty in the everyday, suburban neighbourhood. Artists such as, David Hockney, Reg Mombassa, Jeffrey Smart and Howard Arkley view the mundane world with a similar sense of admiration.
After spending decades of my life abroad, I return to the quaint landscape of the Mornington Peninsula. In my artistic mind it has always been, and will remain a uniquely beautiful location to me; associated with nostalgia, but also brimming with potential for the future.

These seemingly ordinary landmarks: swimming pools, houses, fences power lines and suburban streets are scenes of home. I don't feel the need to travel anymore, as my own backyard serves as my private oasis. To me, there is no place like the Peninsula."
